• Architected logging and tracing that cut MTTR from days to hours.
• Built data pipelines from raw battery lab data to customer-facing visualizations, shrinking time to value from 4+ months to about a week.
• Led an observability initiative, from anomaly detection to pipeline health, with a large drop in data quality tickets.
• Refactored tech debt with zero downtime: faster development and 20% fewer bug tickets.

• Led the entitlement service for software subscriptions, giving the business far more pricing flexibility.
• Migrated a JSON API to Protobuf to enable a gRPC microservice architecture.
• Built the manufacturing API (Rails, Node, TypeScript) for high-scale 3D printing factory integration.
• Led a Prometheus/Grafana monitoring overhaul that let the business advertise 99.99 guarantees.
• Implemented ElasticSearch search, cutting latency by over 2x.

The first deep-discount online marketplace (acquired by Five Below)

• Developed the main e-commerce platform in Ruby/Rails, enabling customized marketing and merchandising.
• Built the marketplace in Elixir/Phoenix, onboarding several 3rd-party merchants and ingesting 200k+ products.
• Built search with ES/Algolia, improving load times and personalization.

Large-throughput SMS/MMS marketing (acquired by Kaleyra)

• Built the messaging and media transcoding platform (Ruby, MySQL, Memcached, RabbitMQ) behind large campaigns, including Super Bowl ads.
